Join a 1 to 1 chat from 2 devices?
Main Post:
I find that I can join a chat/video meeting with a group of two or more other participants from two of my devices, say, using my laptop to provide microphone and camera, and my surface tablet to present via screen share. This is useful because when the tablet is in writing position its camera only sees the ceiling.
But I cannot do this when I start a call on one device with only one other person. Having done that, the ongoing call does not appear as active on my second device so I can join it. Why is the behaviour different? Is there a workaround for this? I desire this for one on one teaching. I do not have admistrator privileges to create a new channel or Team for just me and my student.

A team meeting is different from a one on one chat... they're set up with a different set of protocols. The behaviour you've described is the expected one. If you want more functionality you need to set up a Team for one-to-one meetings. This could be a team for every one to one you might have, or just one team with all the students and you only invite the one that you want at the time (just make an ad-hoc meeting in the channel and call that student in).
edit - just read the last line of your post! Usually teachers can create their own teams, it's quite restrictive and unnecessary to have this turned off in admin!
[CHAT] Thoughts on 1 over 1 on 32 count?
Main Post:
I'm looking to start yet another project (Succubus from UnconventionalxStitch, I couldn't resist!) and am in the process of ordering supplies. I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts/opinions about stitching 1 over 1 on 32 count evenweave? I've been happy working 1 over 1 on 28 without issue, just noticed that most places are out of 28 count easy count fabric at the moment (which I really want to try using!) and in my haste to start was considering using 32 count instead but I'm worried it might be a bit too cramped or hard to see while stitching. If anyone has done this, I'd love to hear your thoughts/recommendations, and any photos of your beautiful creations are always appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

I just finished a 1x1 on 32 project. Without my lighted magnifier I couldn’t have done it. The most annoying aspect for me was being able to run the needle under some stitches to anchor when finishing a thread because the stitches are sooo tiny. It really took some wrangling. I did a one strand loop start to at least cut having to do that in half, but there’s no good shortcut to end. Overall, I’ll probably personally go back to 28 if the overall size still worked out.
